Diabetes Canada – Supporting Canadians Living with Diabetes

Diabetes Canada (CDA) is a registered national charity committed to improving the lives of the 11 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes. With a mission focused on education, research, and community support, Diabetes Canada offers a range of programs aimed at helping individuals manage their diabetes while raising awareness and advancing research to prevent and cure the condition.

CDA’s Key Programs:

  • D-Camps: A unique program designed for children with type 1 diabetes, D-Camps provide a safe, fun environment where kids can learn how to manage their condition. These camps offer a supportive setting that promotes independence, confidence, and crucial diabetes management skills.

  • Team Diabetes: This national activity fundraising program invites Canadians of all fitness levels to participate in events such as walks, runs, and hikes across Canada and around the world. By joining Team Diabetes, participants not only get active but also raise funds and awareness to support Diabetes Canada’s mission.

  • Clothesline: This program encourages Canadians to donate gently used clothing, household items, and electronics. Proceeds from Clothesline support Diabetes Canada, funding important programs, research, and advocacy efforts for diabetes prevention and management.

  • CDA Expos: Community-based educational events designed to provide resources and support for individuals living with diabetes, healthcare professionals, and caregivers. CDA Expos help connect people with the latest information and resources to better manage diabetes.

  • Diabetes Webinars: Free webinars led by healthcare professionals, diabetes educators, and people living with diabetes. These sessions offer valuable insights into diabetes management and provide an interactive platform for learning and sharing experiences.
